Leadership

Leadership is an ongoing dialogue sifting through ambiguities and coming to decisions on advocacy. I’m not into followers (Except on Twitter. Follow Bob Lamonica for Supervisor on Twitter
@boblamonicasc), I’m into empowering. How to think, not what to think, is the way to go.

I’d like to grow as thoughtful, provocative, accessible and engaging, and yea, witty too if that happens. I like one-liners, and there’s a place for laughs in politics – especially politics.

I assert there is a highest common denominator to strive for. In the traceable and binding body of the Constitution we find:

Article I, Section 9, Clause 8. No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.

Article VI, paragraph 3. The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

The democratic republic of the United States of America. It’s such an incredible gift, this work in citizen participation we share responsibility for. We all have the right to be wrong. That never stops, and no one, or one group, has claim to all the answers.

See you in Santa Cruz.
