9-1-22. There are occasions I wish I’d never seen the shit I’ve seen, and been conscious of its consequence, which is the normalization of political corruption. If I’m right, shame will one day subdue fear of outcome. All local analogies do not trivialize.
It’s been fascinating, this local application of values abuse of power stuff. I came to understand fear and expect denial, like multiples of “They’re all like that” usually followed by a fear-laugh, political source favorites “No jurisdiction,” “My plate is full,” “I don’t know enough about it,” “It wasn’t in the Police Report,” “HE’S DEAD,” and my enduring favorite, “DON’T YOU THINK I READ THE FUCKING THING?”
A chance encounter with Richard Bedal in 2016 and then Fred Keeley in 2019 renewed and then rejolted my interest. But it’s time to let go. Developed content and associated documentation will remain archived here indefinitely.
Bob Lamonica comes on at 5:53 in. LIsten for then-Supervisor Greg Caput’s comments immediately after, shouting about, “No proof.”
